Douglas Mandry and Nicolas Girotto, CEO of Bally, discuss the concept behind their collaborative 30-metre-long art curtain, installed in the DAAily bar during Milan Design Week.

The story of the memorable curtain brightening up the DAAily bar at Swiss Corner during Milan Design Week is about more than just its colourful, natural patterns. As the Swiss-born artist Douglas Mandry, creator of the work in collaboration with Bally and Fischbacher 1819, explained during his Live Talk with Designboom Editor-in-Chief, Birgit Lohmann alongside the installation at the DAAily bar, ‘My work is driven by the global change we’re facing, addressing issues of climate change and environmental consciousness through visible elements.’
