×Bushido is an armchair which derives its inspiration from ancient Samurai body armour. When you sit on the chair the riveted back and side rests enclose your body like protective armour, cutting you off from your surroundings and providing a feeling of security.
The series 'Imbalanced Structure' was created in collaboration with Erika Janunger. The challenge here was to analyse the static characteristics of a material which is in itself insubstantial, namely felt, and to find formal strategies for circumventing fundamental static principles.
