×However many building projects an architect or interior designer may have delivered, certain planning issues require more than a single individual’s own experience. The topic of lighting is one such area, as this field is undergoing considerable change at rapid speed. The basic principle here is that a holistic design requires holistic planning, and this is why, in addition to its lighting solutions, Occhio provides comprehensive support through both its project consultants and inhouse lighting- and project specialists. The project service offers comprehensive support during every phase of the project, from consulting through lighting design and project support to the refinement stage.

×As a first step, all requirements can be discussed with the regional representative. Occhio’s project consultancy teams provides detailed assistance on everything from site inspections to support with presentations on lighting systems and technical innovations, for example.
Occhio’s in-house lighting design team provides lighting design support and converts the ideas discussed into convincing visual solutions. Designs are adapted appropriately to meet individual requirements for residential or commercial spaces. As Helen Neumann, the company’s Head of Lighting Design, explains, ‘We look at light in two ways – from an entirely technical perspective, in terms of numbers, and with the artistic eye of a designer. Perfect lighting design combines both approaches and inspires emotions in people who experience it. Our goal is to achieve this perfection for every client, on every project’.

×Once the design is approved, the Munich-based lighting company’s project management team sets about ordering and delivering the products required. Manufacturing in alignment with clients’ wishes is thus guaranteed for special, bespoke solutions. The team also provides technical support and help with installation, and assists in delivering the project in exact accordance with the lighting design plan.
The final result is harmonious and holistically well thought-out, and still leaves plenty of scope for individual adaptations

×During the ‘refinement’ stage, the lighting is perfected and the luminaires and spotlights aligned, and here details of the architecture and the rooms are uniquely set in context. The last step also includes installation of the Occhio air network and a briefing on its operation.
Ultimately, a design will be considered complete only when it also allows the user leeway for spontaneous adaptions.
