The West Coast Design Event Set to Attract Influential Design Community and Enthusiasts with Curated Selection of Leading Brands, Series of Special Events, Panels and Workshops
After its successful debut last fall, WestEdge Design returns to The Barker Hangar for its second edition later this week, October 16-19, 2014. Over the four day event, attendees will be able to explore hundreds of products from leading names in the design industry (from furniture and lighting, to kitchen, bath, outdoor furnishings and other products for the home).
“Following the momentum of last year’s WestEdge debut we are pleased with the curated selection of brands attendees will have the opportunity to shop from at this year’s fair. WestEdge visitors will find offerings from manufacturers of premium furnishings, kitchen & bath products, lighting, accessories and more,” Says WestEdge Co-Founder Troy Hanson.

×WestEdge kicks off with an Opening Night Party sponsored by Bombay Sapphire on Thursday, October 16th. The evening benefits Heal the Bay, one of Southern California’s leading environmental organizations. The evening welcomes the who’s who of the design and entertainment communities. Host committee members include Kathryn M. Ireland, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Michael Smith, Ed Begley Jr. and Kelly Wearstler, among other names.
Evening festivities continue on Friday night with a cocktail party to benefit The A+D Museum. Guests will have the chance to network with the global design community and win one of several raffle prizes, including including a premier ticket package to Modernism Week in Palm Springs, February 12-22, 2015 and a Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet Artisan Fire Pizza Oven ($6,795 MSRP), among other items!
In addition to evening events Thursday and Friday, WestEdge features a full schedule of panel discussions and seminars in the Jenn-Air Master Studio. Thursday and Friday programs are geared for the design trade, while weekend panels are targeted towards the homeowner audience. Editors from Architectural Digest, Angeleno, Coastal Living, Form, Interior Design Magazine, Ocean Home Magazine and other design industry leaders will host talks and share their thoughts on a variety of topics. Other fair highlights include cooking and grilling demonstrations by top-of-the-line outdoor appliances, a custom-designed lounge sponsored by EIS and The Wall Street Journal, a California-cool outdoor lounge, and the SuperPAC exhibition, which shines the spotlight on furnishings designers and makers based throughout the North American Pacific Coast.

×Finally the BOTART exhibition brings a fresh focus to the convergence of art + wine with a unique art installation featuring 15 esteemed global artists who will each be on hand at WestEdge unveiling their barrels.
