ARTSandCRAFTS, designed by AV+IO Design for Taplab Wallcovering. MONOGRAM. Many artists have drawn, painted or engraved alphabets. Alphabets that stir the imagination, and have no other purpose than to lead us into a world of dreams. From fantastic alphabets to Baroque or even Gothic-style alphabets. The letters, the sole protagonists, are integrated by the drawing, marrying the shapes of an object or a living being. One of the most famous anthropomorphic comic alphabets was created by the Frenchman Daumier in the 19th century, and from there many other artists have ventured into animated letters such as Victor Adam or Houx-Marc, leaving many wonderful alphabets for posterity. Monogram is the animated alphabet of TAPLAB wall covering which, with the contribution of AV+IO Design, has created 36 illustrated letters, drawn on 16.6X16.6 cm tiles to form a picturesque alphabetical syllabary. The decoration is developed in three shades which, when inverted, create three totally distinct patterns, in order to satisfy every decorative need. Decorative art A mystical source that has been the inspiration of numerous calligraphy artists, painters and engravers. The renewal of the European decorative arts had its great development in the mid-nineteenth century, but the movement of ideas called Arts and Crafts that started in England developed throughout the West. Various unifying elements emerged in works and writings to emphasize craftsmanship as an essential element for quality design. With this in mind, we have created these new “Arts and Crafts collection” decorations with the collaboration of AV+IO Design, linked to the decoration of porcelain in its various forms. The wallpapers are divided into two types of decoration: TIMELESS, where a series of fine porcelain decorated plates are depicted.
