Sobre Alan Ohashi

Alan Ohashi received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, sculpture and photography, and a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography, both from the University of California at Los Angeles. He also earned a Masters in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. Before launching his architectural career Alan created documentary films and books, and started a community-based, not-for-profit multimedia organization called Visual Communications, which is still in existence today.
Alan worked on many award-winning projects at the ELS Design Group and Tanner & Vandine Architects before forming Ohashi Design Studio. In addition to his day-to-day architectural work, Alan has been an instructor and lecturer at UC Berkeley, San Jose State University, and the California College of Arts, where he has taught studio courses on architecture and furniture design. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the Japanese American Citizens League, and the National Japanese American Historical Society.
