Sobre Alphenberg Leather
DESCUBRE MáS SOBRE ALPHENBERG LEATHER
ALPHENBERG® is a Dutch company with a clear concept. 'Leather should look like leather!' Not covered with pigments. Grain and structure of the skin have to be visible. An animal spends many winters and summers in the country side. It fights and struggles, suffers from scratches and it is stung by insects. The skin has lived a life and has survived it all. This is the concept by which ALPHENBERG® has been created.
The sturdy and open character of the skin is outstanding on a floor or wall and shows up even better on bigger surfaces. It enhances the ambiance and color of an interior. The leather has a contrastive effect with modern, more artificial materials and is complementary to other natural materials. The color and texture of the tiles and strips is sturdy, daring and innovative.

Technical aspects
Materials used in interior design, whether in business or private buildings, must meet high requirements these days. For the benefit of the leather floors and tiles ALPHENBERG® has tanned and finished its skins in such a way that they comply with the most important requirements, e.g. in terms of fire retardant action, light fastness and maintenance friendliness. In spite of this complexity, the material has maintained its natural character. The skins are cut into tiles or strips with high-quality cutting equipment to guarantee dimensional stability. Moreover, ALPHENBERG® is always fitted by qualified fitters, who have been specially trained for this purpose.
Child friendly - An ALPHENBERG® floor feels warm and soft, and it is very easy to clean. Mud, coffee, ketchup and other food spills can be very easily removed.
Fire safety - ALPHENBERG® floors comply with the highest fire safety standard.
Environment
The 21st century requires materials which do not harm the environment. ALPHENBERG® recognizes this general concern. In the production of our leather floors and tiles we aim at the lowest possible load on the environment. The origin of the skins we use is from animals that lived in the country and are processed with environment friendly tanning stuffs. The tannage, dyeing and finishing is done with biologically degradable materials to achieve a minimal burden on the environment. The skins being a waste product from the meat industry are transformed in to biologically degradable material. Even after a long life the leather tiles and strips can be fully recycled and used for other purposes.
