Attilio Fumagalli, who had acquired a solid experience in the textile field, established “Imatex"(short for industria manufatti tessile: textile manufacturing company) in 1960 together with his brother, Luigi. Soon after, another brother, Elio, joined Imatex, contributing to its further development. Over the years, Imatex has steadely grown. The number of markets, on which Imatex sells its product has increased, as did the number of its employees and the surface of its premises. Besides, the company has constantly renewed its machine park. Imatex is now under the guidance of the second, all-women generation of the founding family, in the persons of Giulia and Nicoletta. Nowadays, Imatex remains one of the leading manufacturers in the field of upholstery fabrics based on the great experience of the Fumagalli brothers. Since the 60's Imatex has been offering work and prosperity to many families in the area.
Today, Imatex employs more than 90 employees, its premises include 4 buildings, for a total of over 20,000 covered square meters and 2 fully automated warehouses. The company firmly believes in the importance of research and development and in the quality of the "made in italy".
