Jakob Rope Systems is a manufacturer and supplier of architectural ropes and wire rope nets of stainless steel for railing infills, safety constructions, animal enclosures, façade greening and architectural art. The products are used and appreciated both by architects and metal construction companies as well as by end users.

The history of Jakob Rope Systems began in 1904 with a small hemp ropery. The first wire ropes were made at the beginning of the fifties. Until the mid-80s, distribution channels were limited almost exclusively to Switzerland.

It was only through the influence of Peter Jakob, today CEO, that market and product expansion were targeted for decisive advancement. In consequence, the sales network gradually grew from Europe to include the entire world. The company has their own sales branches in Germany, France and the USA.

Today, Jakob Rope Systems sets international standards in architecture. Aesthetics, innovation and functionality in the areas of stainless steel ropes and wire rope nets are reflected in numerous and successful projects.
