Dr. Chasing Wang, Founder of NONG STUDIO, has been sharpening his eye and cultivating his eclectic sense comes from his artist father who devoted himself into traditional Chinese painting for entire life. Chasing is sensitive and visionary about western and eastern culture not only since his family influence but his educational background in Tongji University and further study in Politecnico di Milano and Parsons, which shapes his unique and free design philosophy.

Chasing also strongly believes in research as a design tool, which motivated him to spend more than 7 years to probe into Chinese, particularly Shanghai Interior design history(1843-2013) during his Ph.D period, and based on research, he desires to anchor its work on the dynamic interaction of history, experience, detail, materials, form, and light rather than any specify style, to interprets memories and create dream.

Chasing has been to more than 50 countries and 300 cities, loves to capture the world in his unique perspective as a professional photographer and collecting vintage or antique pieces and art, ‘travelling forming my global vision, photography sharpening my eyes, and collecting making my inclusive taste.’ said Chasing.
