Urban Agency is an international office for architecture, urbanism, landscape design and research.
The office is currently involved in a large number of projects throughout Europe, Asia and North Africa and is led by the four partners - Maxim Laroussi, Andrew Griffin, Henning Stüben, and Heechan Park with offices in Dublin, Copenhagen and Lyon.
Urban Agency’s work embraces the contemporary challenges for architecture, cities and built environment, to which it responds with pragmatic, sensitive, inventive and innovative solutions, creating new possibilities for a better everyday life. We design robust projects that can absorb complexity and change, while maintaining and building-up on existing qualities.
We believe in an architecture that promotes social engagement, creates democratic cities and spaces of social encounter - places which are aesthetically inviting and build a strong identity. Our architecture revitalizes, redefines and strengthens existing buildings and neighbourhoods. We develop comfortable and ecologically responsible solutions that create new value and are economically profitable.
Urban Agency engages closely with engineers, sociologists, economists, scientists, policy-makers, artists and other professionals through research, analysis and cross disciplinary collaboration to ensure intelligent and innovative design solutions.
The work of Urban Agency's partners has won numerous awards for excellence in architectural design including numerous AAI Awards (IE), an honor at the German Architectural Prize 2007, the top 40 under 40 architects award by the European Centre for Architecture (2011), the Architectural Award of the City of Copenhagen (2011), the WAN Award "21 Architects for the 21st Century" (2011), as well as a nomination for the Mies van der Rohe – European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture(2011),
