DESCUBRE MáS SOBRE VASCO LIMA MAYER
Profile:
Vasco Lima Mayer is an emerging architect and designer, with an atelier based in Lisbon since 2018.
Born into a family of architects, Vasco de Lima Mayer learned from an early age to see in architecture the potential for building the soul of a place.
Observing closely the footprints trodden by his biggest references and exploring their works with a keen interest, from the beginning that the architect born in Sintra, has always sought to draw a path that was exclusively his.
After a childhood spent playing with wooden huts and Legos, he started to take things more seriously, by taking an architecture course at Instituto Superior Técnico, from which he graduated in 2015. After working side by side with some of the great names in architecture, (among which the architect João Pedro Falcão de Campos, with whom he worked for two years), Vasco felt ready to take the next step in his career: He opened his own studio, where he could sign the projects with his name.
Without ever forgetting the essence of his character and pillars as an artist, it can be said that Vasco leaves his mark on every project he works on. Always trying to create truly memorable spaces for those inhabiting them, where the parallelism between refined design and functional comfort can be harmoniously felt, the young architect approaches each project with a millimetric attention to the level of detail. He believes that, even in the smallest things, important meanings reside.
The desire to create projects that were works of art from one end to the other, by combining the design of architecture with the design of furniture, Vasco and his friend and partner Sara Oom de Sousa, created Fuschini, a furniture brand 100% made in Portugal.
Today, Vasco Lima Mayer has a vast portfolio of projects, which, despite having their own identity, are intrinsically linked by the common trait of a significant, passionate and, above all, spiritual architecture.
