We are Franziskus & Ferdinand, the founders of WYE.
Our ambition is to harmonize design, sustainability and functionality. On this basis, we experimented with different materials before developing our own wood-based material Neolign®.
This was the starting point for our furniture label.

With WYE (pronounced why), we have created a brand that sets new ecological standards, with high demands on design and quality at fair prices.

WYE is the important question of "why".
It is the core question of creativity and is at the heart of every one of our design processes. Questioning makes us rethink, reimagine and develop ideas. That's why sustainability is a matter of course for us, meticulous familiarization with manufacturing processes is essential, and the benefits of our actions are our highest priority.

For this purpose, we have developed the wood-based material Neolign®. The highlight: With the unique recycling circuit, WYE products can be 100% recycled. With Neolign® we have developed a sustainable and innovative wood-based material that smells like wood, feels like wood and can be processed like wood. Neolign® can be sanded down at any time and thanks to the through-dyeing process, the color comes out fresh again.

We set new ecological standards in the furniture industry.
We achieve the unique structure of our product surfaces by upcycling wood chips from industrial waste. In this way, we create an extremely high-quality and robust wood-based material, for which, however, not another tree has to be felled.
Thus, with each product we reduce the use of solid wood and thus CO2, as well as unnecessary consumption of resources.
In addition, our products are free of formaldeyhd, unlike many veneered materials and chipboard.
Become part of a unique cradle-to-cradle cycle.
In the development of our products, we pay attention to durability through high quality, timeless design and ease of repair of furniture. Nevertheless, statistics show that even high-quality design pieces are used for increasingly shorter periods of time.
Therefore, we offer you to take back the products if necessary. Because for us, the Neolign has a high value as a resource even after its useful life, by returning it to the manufacturing process and designing new collections. With this sustainability in mind, we try to reuse our material over several decades and act in a resource-saving way.

- All products are produced in Germany and EU neighboring countries, which reduces the transport distances to a minimum.

Become part of a unique cradle-to-cradle cycle.
We go one step further and create a so far unique |Cradle-to-Cradle| cycle, in which we recycle 100% of your products to create new collections. In this way, we set new ecological standards in the furniture industry.

Upcycling: Our wood material Neolign® originates as a by-product of industrial wood processing.

Composition: Neolign consists of 83% wood chips in combination with special color pastes and polymers.

CO2 reduction: No tree is felled for our furniture.
Emission-free: Unlike many veneered materials and chipboard, no harmful emissions - such as formaldehyde - are released.

Resistance: The material used is thus not only environmentally friendly, but also convinces with stability, weather and abrasion resistance (3 times higher than the tropical wood Bangkirai).
