2001 side tables

Ramón Úbeda and Otto Canalda have always been spoken of as a ‘couple of convenience’ and continue as such, completing projects together with over 10 years of experience. Ramón takes on the conceptual part, and Otto the technical. They do not share a studio but understand and complement each other. They prefer to work afterhours, free from of ce routine and the pressure of delegated assignments. Their works do not follow an aesthetic pattern, nor a de ning charateristical style, but always offer a component of surprise. Developments spring from a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing possibilities as well as all types of industrial technologies and artisanal processes, even mixing these as they have done with this new side table series, created to be minimalist. They are made using only the best quality glass having no visible joinings. The metallic sharp appearance evoke an optical illusion, a perfect future not belonging to the past. There are two produced sizes and three different heights. They can be used as a set or individually.
