Pinna (“fin” in Italian) is a three-dimensional sound-absorbing structure, a sculpture of sorts, reminiscent of the fin of a large fish which fans out wide with a curvature whose pleated fabric creates a delightful wavy surface appearance. Pinna is the result of a dialogue between different production expertise: the intrinsic technology of Snowsound Fiber combines with the craftsmanship of high fashion in its attention to the materials and fabric.
The pleated fabric is wrapped around a metal supporting frame. It can be easily removed to wash and replaced. Pinna can be fastened to the wall or installed on the ceiling.
Concepto
Estructura tridimensional fonoabsorbente que se despliega en abanico con una curvatura sugerida
por las dobleces del tejido plisado que recuerda la aleta (“pinna”) de un pez de grandes dimensiones.
Pinna crea un diálogo entre conocimientos productivos de diversa índole; la tecnología fonoabsorbente
de los tejidos Snowsound Fiber se fusiona con confecciones textiles provenientes del sector de la moda.
La estructura de soporte interna es de acero barnizado. Sistema desenfundable.
