Profile GECKELER MICHELS is a berlin-based design duo formed by David Geckeler and Frank Michels. Both designers met during their studies and founded their studio in 2013. Since the beginning, the duo is working on designs in the field of furniture, tableware, lighting and accessories. GECKELER MICHELS’ style matrix combines german design roots with an undogmatic and eclectic approach between the many aestehtic discourses of present time. For the designers, approaching new projects always goes along with the appropriation of a related vocabulary. In their eyes it is a crucial way to articulate integral and outstanding answers. A focus on cutting-edge concepts and a passion for material and technology can be stated as the main impulses for creating accurate and subtle products.
