Silent Views
Munich is home to the media world’s new favorite loft - a structure completely encased in glass that floats 50 meters above the ground. From inside, you have a fantastic view right to the Alps. To provide inspiring expanses for the creative tenants, the spacious 90 x 23 meter lofts are characterized by their minimal use of walls. The unusual architecture of this floating bridge is an example of intelligent construction on steel girders featuring steel trelliswork. The technical installations and cooling systems are integrated in the high ceilings for unbroken views.
The dramatic position demands sensitivity inside. An interior as minimalist and particularly as flexible as possible is precisely what the tenants need to carry out their work. The working areas feature white sideboards. Minimalist cabinets flank the hall areas. The working areas are furnished with carpets whose acoustic efficacy allows concentrated working.
CAS, the Carpet Concept Acoustic System, is a range of carpets demonstrating special sound-absorbing properties developed to satisfy acoustic demands. CAS absorbs sound in the Medienbrücke particularly well in the special speech-relevant range of 250 to 2000 Hz thereby ensuring a healthy, ergonomically-appropriate acoustic quality. CAS h Epoca 800 was used in the Medienbrücke, a carpet that balances the acoustics while at the same time providing the perfect backdrop to the furnishing in elegant gray.
