Haeckels is delighted to announce details of the newly-renovated first and second floors of Haeckels House; nesting three new treatment rooms above the shop on Cliff Terrace, Margate. A labour of love, Haeckels House has been created with the help and collaboration of local residents, the Haeckels team and their family members.
Not only is this a place to experience the brand’s thalassotherapy-inspired treatments, it will be an event and creative broadcasting space to collaborate with the local community and showcase the incredible work of talented upcoming designers such as Charlotte Kidger and Jo Elbourne whose incredible work has been installed in the relaxation area.
From traditional seaweed wraps and baths, massages, facials, manicures and reflexology. All treatments are inspired and composed by the ocean using wild-harvested seaweed from the Margate coastline and a variety of other Haeckels products.
‘‘The idea for Thalassotherapy-inspired treatments came way before Haeckels as a skincare brand, but I believed that treatments without your own signature products were not cohesive as an overall experience. I wanted customers to experience something unique, so I set about making my seaweed products with the dream that one day I could bring everything together. When we initially acquired the space above the Haeckels shop, the idea was to turn it into a holiday let, but we decided that it would be better for the neighbourhood if we were to expand the brand into the building.
When Georgia, our Head Therapist joined our team it became obvious very quickly that the treatments she’d designed were incredibly popular; the new space has allowed Georgia to take on and train more members of staff to keep up with the demand. We are so looking forward to expanding the team further and launching more treatments later on in the year, and look forward to welcoming you to Haeckels House.’’ ~ Dom Bridges, Founder of Haeckels.
