Mara for the new Golden Goose headquarters in Milan
Simple Chairs with an industrial look chosen to furnish the showroom spaces
On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, Golden Goose opens its new headquarters in Milan and chooses Mara's Simple Chairs to furnish the building dedicated to the showroom building.
The architectural project, internally designed by Golden Goose and in collaboration with ML Architettura, is located in the area that will house the Olympic Village for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
The new headquarters, result of the transformation of two industrial warehouses, is a reminder of the first historical headquarters in Marghera, located in an old foundry.
Two parallelepipeds clad in black metal sheet that intersect each other. This is how the new Mil-anese headquarters looks from the outside: the larger building, on three levels, covers a surface area of 3,670 m2 and is dedicated to offices, while the smaller one of 1,000 m2 is entirely dedicat-ed to the showroom.
The absence of pillars in the original structure made it possible to develop a centripetal project in which everything converges towards the central patio, a place to live all together, like a family, in perfect harmony with the brand’s values.
“A real creative hub to let our people experiment, create and dream - says CEO Silvio Campara - A house that carries within the history of the brand through refined architectural elements, but al-ways keeping an eye to the future while maintaining a sustainable approach".
A high-impact showroom accessed through a hallway that will change every season, turning into an immersive path narrating the collection.
With the aim of maintaining the original structure and highlighting the architectural space, the walls have been entirely flocked and the lighting system has been created using a line of 11 LED strips of 18 meters.
Mara’s chairs, characterised by a simple and essential silhouette, furnish the large meeting spaces defined and interspersed with gold chromed displays elements with an industrial character.
The strong connotation to the chairs typical of the Seventies combined with the industrial style that characterises it, makes Simple an extremely versatile chair suitable for both modern and, at the same time, classic environments. Composed of an aluminium seat and backrest and a powder coated steel frame, it is stackable, light and easy to move, and is also available in a stool version.
The showroom has been designed as a very flexible and versatile space so that when it’s not being used for the sales campaign it can serve for different purposes related to Golden TV.
