Beginning earlier this year, you can visit the untraditionally designed hairdressers - Le Coiffeur, in Marseilles. Margaux Keller, the designer - in cooperation with Bertrand Guillon, created an elegant space from an ordinary hair studio; where she combined this French seaside city´s moods, intimacy and new interior design trends.
The space in the back of the studio, inspired by local fishermen huts, is set aside for hair-washing. The tables, called "La Coiffeuse", whose arches form a hood in the top part of the mirror, are made with the same desire to provide customers with intimacy. The shapes, characterized by axial-crossing plywood and the wood of the TON Company´s Merano oak armchairs (designed by Alexander Gufler), fit in the design concept.
Creative arrangements can also be seen in other parts of the interior; pendant lamps - blown in Italy, loosely shift the shapes of historical hair driers. The mixture of concrete and floor tiling is a tribute to Provence´s traditions.
