In the name of Andreu World, recent winner of the Spanish National Design Award and considered the first Spanish firm in exporting contemporary design seats, we like to inform you about the 9th edition of the Andreu World’s International Design Competition in September 2009. All design students or designers can take part of this edition, without age limitation.

The subject of the competition is the design of a seat and/or a table whose main material must be solid wood: beech, oak or walnut. In order to participate, the designed piece must include all specifications outlined in Andreu World's product Briefing, providing technical and formal solutions within the indicated terms. The competing designs need to be new and should not have been commercialized or disclosed prior to the date of the competition.
The deadline to submit documentation is September 14th 2009.

The competition will grant the following prizes:
1st Prize - 4.000€
2nd Prize - 2.000€

A maximum of three special mentions, not remunerated, may be awarded by a Jury exclusively made up of professionals in the area of design.
