×SPÄH DESIGNED ACOUSTIC, the German specialists for acoustic solutions, provides architects with an innovative, powerful online tool that can configure individual acoustic ceiling solutions in just a few minutes.
Creating an acoustically pleasing interior space is one of today’s most difficult architectural challenges. Modern buildings are constructed out of steel, glass and lots of concrete – materials and surfaces that aren’t exactly conducive to good acoustics. SPÄH designed acoustic has turned its attention to this problem and is doing battle against aggravating background noise in open-plan offices, restaurants, lobbies and many other places where communicative people gather. And it is doing so in a unique way.
Different from others
Whereas other manufacturers rely on flat, seemingly endless grid technology, SPÄH designed acoustic brings the individual potential of the respective project into play. The company’s credo is, after all, that different spaces and functions pose different quality demands, which call for specific responses. This works best when acoustic elements are liberated from their conventional two-dimensionality and put to work in three dimensions to meet a project’s particular needs This three-dimensionality offers a clear advantage in terms of design flexibility which SPÄH designed acoustic can thus offer its customers as well. Form, colour, size, everything can be defined with complete freedom and a high degree of personalisation.
Complete freedom is allowed when designing the acoustic elements – and the more surface area the better. Each formation is unique, whether tailor-made with a company logo or for private use

×Another advantage is that the extraordinary tailor-made solutions are produced entirely in Germany. Furthermore, the future-oriented firm is highly committed to sustainability: the elements can be manufactured exclusively out of recycled PET bottles.
Getting things moving
The three-dimensional elements, which possess outstanding 360-degree dampening characteristics, contribute significantly to the visual design of the room and often give a place a whole new look. To ensure that the end result is as imagined, SPÄH designed acoustic collaborated with Prof. Markus Lauterbach from Media Strategy Lab to develop an innovative online tool for the quick and easy definition of design ideas and the tailoring of acoustic elements to the given room. The new SPÄH designed acoustic creator enables users to generate a rectangular space as they like in just minutes and, by means of the presets provided, design an acoustic landscape. Not only can height, width and length be specified, but the spacing between individual elements and the – freely controllable – acoustic impact can also be projected. The result is a custom, high-quality ceiling acoustic solution entirely in accord with the vision behind it.
A tool that revolutionises: with the world-first SPÄH designed acoustic creator, it is easier than ever to plan and realise individual designs. It takes only a few minutes to go from an idea to a final plan

×Your room, your design
The SPÄH designed acoustic creator is a global first and especially user-friendly. The online tool, with its simple and intuitive handling, scores points with further appealing features. For example, for the first time, it makes possible the direct, easy conversion of a black-and-white pattern into a unique and personal acoustic ceiling construction. This allows experimentation with one’s own ideas and the exploration of myriad colour possibilities. Among the tool’s standard options that facilitate the planning work of clients and architects are a direct price-quoting function and a pre-formulated text for tendering. The creator, the centrepiece of the expanded product line, can move a project a big step forward in just minutes.
For optimal room acoustics, the concept should be developed in parallel to the planning. Of course, sound-reducing "landscapes" can also be retrofitted

×Ahead of its time
The great advantage of the SPÄH designed acoustic creator is that, with acoustic lamellae, architects, planners, companies and private clients can take the acoustic design of their spaces into their own hands and implement their own ideas. The configurator renders a realistic image of the space that can be changed at will until the desired result is achieved. SPÄH designed acoustic naturally offers competent advice as well, particularly with regard to special wishes such as company logos or other adaptations. After the design is submitted via the creator, the required acoustic elements are promptly produced and installed by the team.
SPÄH designed acoustic offers an important piece of advice in advance: the earlier in the planning process sound protection is considered, the better the outcome. Acoustic design measures should take shape along with the project and not be built-in after construction has already been completed.
Whether installed on the ceiling or the wall, acoustic elements can be a real eye-catcher. And the surprising fact that recycled PET bottles are used for their production makes them even more attractive

×With the one-of-a-kind SPÄH designed acoustic creator, the company has achieved a major step in this direction and aims to maintain its leadership in this sector. Accordingly, following the launch of the creator, it lost no time in starting work on the creator 2.0, which will be equipped with a number of additional features.
