OASE create impressive productions out of water – everything from spectacular public shows to quiet, meditative spaces in private gardens.
In the record time of less than four months, the Bucharest Fountain was realised for an extravagant multimedia show. Over a distance of 1.4km, a total of 13 pools were used

×Water is increasingly becoming the most valuable resource on our planet. It is a gift that can be enjoyed in many different ways, because water isn't simply for drinking. It also refreshes all the other senses through our eyes, our skin and our ears.
It is no coincidence that spray misting systems and drinking fountains are mushrooming in our hot and dusty cities, making the increasing number of sweltering days a little more bearable for people. An even more pronounced effect is achieved by a large fountain system that also provides acoustic and visual cooling – a psychological effect that should not be underestimated. The German firm of Oase (oasis) has set itself the task of showcasing water in a variety of different ways.
International waters: Oase has realised installations all over the world on projects large and small. In a way, the company is like a water ambassador, showcasing its different applications all around the globe

×In many private gardens, the unmistakable sound of cool water is appreciated as a source of pleasure and is an indispensable part of harmonious garden design. But Oase has also made a name for itself on a larger scale with a variety of successfully implemented public projects, immersing town squares and other locations in sparkling magic. These are reminiscent of the historical water features that were a striking highlight of Baroque gardens and cities, appearing today as a refreshing spectacle with modern design and innovative technology.
Among the company's countless spectacular water productions worldwide, the 2018 Multimedia Fountain Show in Bucharest with 13 pools over a length of 1.4 kilometres has attracted particular attention
As a 'green' enterprise, the aspect of sustainability is particularly important to the company. In the process, the innovation factor is not neglected, however: Oase invests a lot of time and energy in research and development of their high-quality fountain systems. This also includes the design and control of individual water shows which can be programmed with the company's in-house software.
In the Xinhu Mingzhu shopping centre in Suzhou City, drops of water run down along almost invisible threads from a height of 26m – a world record

×The know-how that Oase has accumulated over the years is in demand internationally. Among the company's countless spectacular water productions worldwide, the 2018 Multimedia Fountain Show in Bucharest is one example which has attracted particular attention. The project was developed in a record-breaking four months and covered 13 pools which – over a length of 1.4 kilometres and a total area of 12,000 square metres – were showcased with dazzling effects created by the interplay of the elements of water, fire, earth and air.
Indoors, too, this creative use of water provides real enrichment. In the Xinhu Mingzhu shopping centre in China's Suzhou City, for example, a fascinating interplay of crystal-clear drops has been installed to accompany the shopping experience in a unique way. An impressive round curtain of water, over 26 metres high, forms the central eye-catcher of the inner courtyard and consists of 578 almost invisible Mylar threads, along which drops of water run in a simulation of falling rain. The project has attracted worldwide attention and earned Oase another entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
Not as big, but no less impressive, are Oase’s smaller installations, such as the Jumping Jet Rainbow Star and Grand Volcano 30, which can be programmed as desired or set simply to quietly splash and ripple before you

×Oase also offers options for those looking for something effective but on a smaller scale. The Jumping Jet Rainbow Star, for example, makes water dance in jets up to a ‘mere’ four metres in height. This is still sensational, though involving more-manageable dimensions. The jet widths and heights as well as colour choreographies are pre-programmed, and can be easily adjusted by the user thanks to Oase's own Plug'n'Spray principle. By comparison, the Grand Vulkan 30 jet nozzle achieves twice the height. The individual jets of the multi-jet nozzle are arranged in a circle and produce a uniformly perfect water chalice which can be enjoyed in total relaxation.
Isn't it always basically a question of the right scale? In any form, water probably remains the only experience which is capable of invigorating us while at the same time allowing us to relax, and thanks to this quality, its refreshing vitality can be appreciated in a unique way.
