Too big to offer customised solutions? Think again. It’s precisely because of its global reach and resources that BoConcept is able to bring individuality and personality to even the biggest of contract interior projects.

×When BoConcept Contract talks about customisation it’s not simply talking about switching in a ceramic top for the standard wooden top of a table, or trimming off 20cm to make it fit better. Nor does it mean having the choice of thousands of fabrics to individualise upholstery at competitive prices. These are things they offer, but for BoConcept, customisation is drawing on its vast resources, from dynamic local contract teams, to broad, comprehensive furniture collections, its own manufacturing operations and well-tuned supply chains, to achieve a unique level of personalisation on every project.
‘Customisation does not stop after tailoring a product to the customers’ requests or using a material that matches their corporate Identity. This is just state of the art,’ affirms Christian Hiller, BoConcept’s contract director. ‘I am more interested in understanding the purpose of his individual interior design. Only if we ask what he wants to achieve with a look, touch and feel or colour scheme, can we deliver the perfect result.’

×Doing so might involve conducting meticulous research and analysis – including targeted trend reports – to inform an interior project, alongside expert interior crafting by an in-house design team using the most apt edit from the copious furnishings available. The brand’s global presence means that not only are logistics eased by local teams and well-oiled supply chains, but that regional needs can be met. ‘Working in over 60 countries means having access to all possible cultural, behavioural and taste specifics,’ says Hiller. ‘At BoConcept we all share the same values and interior design approach rooted in Danish aesthetics, but it is inspiring to see how our designers put a local flavour on it.’ Hiller cites a collaboration with German developer BauArt, and their 128-apartment ‘Mariandl am Meer’ project as a particularly successful customisation. ‘Residents have actually asked already where they can buy the “Mariandl” look.’
Danish style is at the core of a BoConcept interior, but there is always scope for a unique stamp to be introduced through thoughtful material choices, edits and staging

×BoConcept is a one-stop shop where everything from bed to breadbasket can be supplied, designed and installed in a coordinated fashion. But the large product pool and highly skilled network also mean there is plenty of scope to create contract interiors that feel unique and invested with personality.
