×Everyone knows that feeling when the doorbell rings. You instinctively want to know straight away who is standing outside and waiting to come in. Fortunately, such situations are usually harmless, but in some cases, it can prove advisable not to open the door. In any case, many issues and exchanges can be settled via door communication systems without ever having to open the door in the first place.
From the audio, video, bell, fingerprint, info and keypad modules included in the range, you can choose the ones that best suit your personal preferences
When we think about it, the coronavirus pandemic has made modern forms of door communication even more important – and, in fact, direct, personal contact often proves unnecessary when questions can also be answered via the home automation system or, for example, if the delivery person can be quickly asked to leave a package outside the door or in the hallway.
With the comprehensive Busch-Welcome® system from Busch-Jaeger, a wide range of indoor and outdoor solutions which provide greater security and convenience in entry areas can be implemented. Architects and interior designers have long held the German company in high esteem – it was founded in 1926, but its earliest roots go all the way back to 1879.

×A relaunch of the Busch-Welcome® system now offers a series of modular innovations that make the elements of the series even easier to install and handle, but also provide for even more stylistic and functional choices. As the name 'Busch-Welcome®Module' suggests, the basis for the system’s numerous individualisation options is precisely the modular structure of its elements.
The innovations of Busch-Welcome® include additional components, a practical clip system that facilitates installation, and a new indoor video station that can be harmoniously coordinated with a contemporary living space without seeming like a 'technoid intruder'.
As a universal platform solution, the different Busch-Welcome® units as well as the various installation boxes also function in conjunction with the Busch-Welcome® IP system variant

×Most frames now use a new clip system for the function modules. This saves electricians time during installation while simultaneously enabling a variety of individual combinations: from the audio, video, bell, fingerprint, info and keypad modules included in the range, you can choose the ones that best suit your personal preferences.
In addition to newly available stainless steel frames, Busch-Jaeger now also offers modular ones made of aluminium for the Welcome series, which are particularly appreciated in more price-sensitive segments – such as for multi-storey apartment buildings. These versions offer, for example, the possibility of installing a greater number of bell buttons on typically more compact surfaces.

×The modular concept doesn't stop with the goal of greater simplification and individualisation, however. As a universal platform solution, both the Busch-Welcome® frames and the various flush-mounted installation boxes (surface-mounted, flush-mounted, built-in) also function together with the Busch-Welcome® IP system variant.
Good to know: Busch-Jaeger will continue to offer prefabricated outdoor stations in stainless steel and aluminium in the Busch-Welcome® programme. These programme variants are available as an outdoor video station in stainless steel and as an outdoor audio station in aluminium – each as a single, double and triple unit.
The door communication system is supplemented with various stand-alone access control elements for fingerprint, keypad and transponder functionality, as well as built-in modules for letterbox systems and mounting boxes in different versions. The range also includes external cameras for outdoor surveillance.

×Another new addition is a 2-wire indoor video station in a 4.3" format, which transmits images and sounds via WLAN. The resolution of the images transmitted by the camera has been enhanced by 25 percent. The glass screen measures only 18 mm and is complemented by six icons for intuitive operation on the front panel of the indoor station.
The entire design line of the Busch-Welcome® system is defined by minimalism. On closer inspection it becomes clear how much attention has been paid to details, surfaces and proportions in the design
Up to eight mobile devices – smartphones as well as tablets – can receive the forwarded screen information via the Busch-Jaeger portal. An automatic door opener has also been integrated into the interface here, with aspects such as clarity and user-friendliness as central design objectives.

This resolute simplicity holds the series together in aesthetic terms, marked by impressive restraint and adapting to a variety of architectural languages. On closer inspection, however, it becomes clear just how much attention has been paid to details, surfaces and proportions in the design.

×Easy-to-understand pictograms, clearly legible typography, for example on the buttons and nameplates of the Busch-Welcome® system, in combination with hardware and interface design, function as a calling card at the entrance door. And here, as everywhere else, it's the first impression that counts.
Hold on, is that the doorbell I hear?
