The sustainable products manufactured by Richard Lampert, a Stuttgart-based company, are characterised by superior design coupled with handcrafted quality.
The range extends from modern design-classics to new, imaginative designs by international designers. Furniture is offered for different areas of application and users beyond the mass market: Furniture for adults and children, for indoor and outdoor use, and for residential and commercial applications.
Richard Lampert has been producing furniture and furnishings since 1993. Talking to Richard Lampert, his passion for furniture – timeless designs without frills, but with that certain something – quickly becomes evident. The members of his team – complemented by the designer Alexander Seifried – are important sparring partners for him. A design must convince – with a clear and possibly unconventional idea. Only then does he ask himself whether the design is strong enough to be produced in high quality and in large numbers. “The product must have a soul,” says Lampert. One of the absolute classics in the collection is the original Egon Eiermann table from 1953 with inclined diagonals in a level of welded cross-struts. It is exclusively manufactured by Richard Lampert and in terms of its details is – “Eiermann-like” – in a class of its own. As a complement to the original, there is a double workstation, a high or standing desk, as well as office chairs with the same design consistency. All of this continues to enthuse users today – with shape and structure reduced to the essentials. Like almost all Richard Lampert products, these furniture items can be used everywhere – from the office to private homes. “Luckily, architects and interior designers see the particularity of the collection and use it as an alternative to well-known designer furniture.” This gives Lampert the confidence that small companies operating in a niche have a chance of survival.

×But Richard Lampert is also attracted by completely new materials and designs. One of the latest products in the collection is Pip, designed by Daniel Kern – variable, fireproof seating-furniture based on a playful idea: the side-supports, seat cushions and backrests can be put together in any configuration and combined with pushed-on upholstery parts. The almost sculptural furniture is ideal for escape route areas in schools, universities, museums and administration buildings, not only because of its design but also because it complies with fire class A2-S1 d0. Ideal for a short conversation, quick coffee break, or for charging mobile devices, Pip is a world-first, being the only furniture system with flame-retardant panels. The panels can be relied upon, as they are manufactured by the world-renowned company Knauf. “When I saw the design, all the people sitting on stairs around the world immediately came to my mind.” There is definitely a lot to discover in the often colourful collection. Whether in a restaurant, retirement home, traditional architectural practice or creative agency – many of the products are suitable for use everywhere and ensure that young and old feel at home in their surroundings.
