During the course of its more than 200-year history, DuPont has repeatedly succeeded in adapting trends and positioning itself as a bringer of ideas. One particular success story has been the high-tech material DuPontTM Corian®. Under the slogan “Endless Evolution” it plans to continue down this road in the future. User-friendly literature, illustrative sample boxes, true-to-the-original colour fans, and a full service range help designers and architects find the most suitable product for their applications.
Corian® has always been particularly strong in the kitchen and bathroom area. The powerful high-tech material is used to create products that are sustainable, versatile and durable. In combination with wall coverings, splash guards and other surfaces made of Corian®, the new range of bathtubs and shower trays can be used to create homogeneous, aesthetic and functional bathroom solutions – for the private as well as the commercial sector. Pre-moulded parts such as washbasins, shower trays and bathtubs made of Corian® play a major role in bathroom furnishings. The visually seamless connection of these Corian® mouldings and panels enables beautiful, high-quality, hygienic and reliable solutions to be planned and executed. For example, the range of pre-moulded washbasins was recently extended, and now offers more design freedom for diverse style worlds. 22 models in nine product families are currently on offer, including two models for the healthcare sector.
Apart from the shape diversity it offers, Corian® is also popular with planners and users due to the extensive range of colours and finishes, which are produced using specially-developed technologies. As part of the “Endless Evolution” campaign, the company is presenting two new, innovative series: Deep Colour™ technology allows the production and use of massive, dark surfaces with deeper, more intense and more durable colours, improved application properties and simplified processing, for example in thermal deformation. The two latest colours are: Deep Titanium, a dramatic, dark grey that reflects the intense brilliance of the metal after which it was named; and Deep Cloud, a lively, lighter grey reminiscent of a stormy night sky. The second new collection is called Earth Heritage and consists of 16 colours, created with DuPont Fusion™ Technology. This technology makes it possible to produce advanced surface materials with randomly arranged mottling and particles in a single basic colour. The source of inspiration was nature with its original rock formations, wild landscapes, plants and roots.
