Nuovo Image Book by Driade

The Image Book invent a dream, is about accessibility and inaccessibility, abstraction and reality, putting the products in front of something evocative. Much more than a simple catalogue, the products are portrayed in an innovative way in an exceptional setting: a charming stone quarry of Vicenza.

In the introduction of the Image Book David Chipperfield says:

“Since its beginnings in 1968, Driade has, through its selection of designers and throught the development of objects and furniture, represented a particular attitude, encouraging innovation and individuality and enjoying a spirit of design diversity.
… Driade has managed over the years to establish its importance within the extraordinary design culture of Italy, a culture that despite everything maintains its place, demonstrating the importance of tradition and innovation, balancing commerce and craft. … Going forward, it is the intention of Driade to maintain its contribution to this culture and to continue to develop the generous balance between the individuality of the designer and the lose coherence and perspective so brilliantly determined by Adelaide Acerbi, Antonia Astori, and Enrico Astori.”(the three founders)
