Our new System One. Giving you even more room to dream. To make something better does not necessarily mean ‘go bigger’. At FritsJurgens, we care about details. About refinement. This is why we have designed a new, better System One. The product you already know, but with new features and a new design. Read more to discover our new One.
The old One vs the new One
Let’s start with a product overview. What does the new One do, that the old One couldn’t?
First of all, the new One is a lot thinner than the old One. With a height of only 18 mm compared to the 38 mm of its predecessor, it is considerably smaller. This allows new design possibilities, such as doors with very thin door frames – which we will get into detail later. Second, the new One has a brand-new design. The aluminum casing is the same as System M+ and System M’s casings. This makes milling in the door easier compared to the old One.
Then there’s compatibility with top pivots. The new System One is available in two versions: the regular System One 70 mm and System One 40 mm. This last option makes the new One compatible with every FritsJurgens top pivot.
Never change a winning team
A lot about System One stays the same as you’re used to. It is still capable of carrying pivot doors weighing 0 to 500 kg. It is still the best solution for pivot doors that don’t require further movement adjustability. It still excels in simplicity.
New One, new design possibilities
The new One offers design possibilities the old One couldn’t. First off, there’s the combination of the new One with TP-R, FritsJurgens Top pivot Reversed.
This top pivot is mounted in the head jamb or ceiling instead of on the top of the door’s frame. Because of this placement and the lack of a piece of hardware in the door, you can opt for super thin door frames. Combine this with the new One, which is only 18 mm tall, and all of your door’s frames can be as minimal as 18 mm high.
Then there’s the new combination of System One and TP-40. Small interior doors that don’t require further movement adjustability and where TP-40 is the right solution can now be paired with System One. This means that for the most uncomplicated, space-saving interior doors at 40 mm, you can now choose a pivot hinge that matches the door’s purpose.
A new floor plate
The interface of the new One is different from the old One. This means that the pivot’s spindle, the part of the hinge that rests on the floor plate, has changed. This interface is not all new: the new System One has the same interface that System M and M+ already have.
This is Floor plate NA: floor plate non-adjustable. As System One doesn’t have any additional features, this pivot hinge does not need an adjustable floor plate, like System M+ and M. This floor plate is available in one finish, brushed stainless steel 316, and has brass floor plate pins as you’re used to.
This new floor plate creates more uniformity with the System M range, fits better in the overall product design, and reduces the gap between the door and the floor plate. The old System One had a 13 millimetres gap under the door. With this new floor plate, this gap is reduced to 11 millimetres.
Technical specs
The new System One is available in two versions:
- System One 70 mm
- System One 40 mm
System One 70 mm has a minimum pivot point of 70 mm from the side of the door to the middle placement. System One 40 mm can be combined with Top pivot 40 mm, and of course, has a fixed pivot point of 40 mm from the side of the door. The fixing brackets are the differences between the products. Internally, they are the same. The systems have an aluminium casing, just like System M and M+, creating a more uniform product line in terms of design.
Two cover plates are available for System One 40 mm, just like for System M and M+ 40 mm. These are available in the same colours as well: stainless steel and black. The new One has a height of 18 mm. Compared to the old System One, which was 38 mm high, this is quite a change. A new floor plate creates more uniformity with the System M range, fits better in the overall product design, and reduces the gap between the door and the floor plate. The old System One had a 13 millimetres gap under the door. With this new floor plate, this gap is reduced to 11 millimetres.
In short, the top features of this new product are as follows: 18 high. A uniform product design. A pivot point at both 40 and 70 mm. And, just as with the old System One, a load-bearing capacity of up to 500 kilograms.
