A recent case study in Leolux LX's homebase of Venlo shows how projects can incorporate durability as well as an elegant combination of function and comfort by choosing from the brand's catalogue.
Fittingly, one of fullest and finest showcases for the Leolux LX collection is the new lobby and artist’s foyer of the De Maaspoort theatre in its hometown of Venlo.
The project demanded creating a range of different seating arrangements in a large open space, the classic design challenge of engineering intimacy, composing spaces within space and answering a range of needs.

×The elegantly curved – almost theatrical – lines of the LXR08 sofa by Italian designer Gino Carollo, invite pre- or post-performance lounging and are powerful enough to create a defined social space. The stricter lines and more upright position of Carollo’s LXR02 chair, stationed around Hugo de Ruiter’s LX627 table, shape space for more purposeful meetings and even a quick burst of work. And to conjure spaces for more relaxed conversation, the theatre has recruited Frans Schrofer’s LX662 armchair and Edward van Vliet’s LX695, an impossible to resist mix of elementary contours and reclined comfort.

×The Leolux LX collection has now been employed as the key ingredient in office, residential and hospitality projects around the world. Designers trust its quality and durability, the attention to detail in manufacturing and, more fundamentally, that it offers them all the options they need for large or intimate spaces, and to create a balance of drama, function and comfort that fully express a space’s possibilities and intent.
