It all started back in 1962 between Herat and Kabul when Sultan Amini founded Amini Brothers Company (ABC) to produce and sell local carpets, thanks to an extensive network of local craftsmen. These remote and off-the-track villages create unique, inimitable manufacts that Amini then brought to Europe. By 1975, ABC was a solid company with a modern logistics centre, but then in 1978 the Russians invaded Afghanistan and Sultan Amini had to choose between his family and the business he had painstakingly built up. The situation was untenable and a move to Germany became necessary. Thanks to his contacts built up over the years and his standing in Frankfurt, Amini found fertile ground to start again and rediscover his faith in his project.
Today, ABC has its own identity and is a lodestone for major companies, famous fashion houses, reception centers and luxurious hotels featuring quality furnishings in their rooms. The Amini division was set up precisely to meet this new requirement; a project to propose next generation carpets, attuned to the contemporary lines of interior design.
Amini is unique thanks to its philosophy of the pursuit of quality at every level, infused with a passion with far-off roots. A new project from the heart of tradition, an important undertaking to transform the family name into a brand name.
The Amini collection is characterised by different products depending on their style, production method and materials used. Traditional or modern, its carpets can be used for a multitude of purposes thanks to their technical and design versatility. They include Tibetan or monochrome, vintage or eastern traditional carpets, 100% natural or produced specifically for outdoor use allowing each customer to find exactly the right match.
