The company, founded in 1923, has been in the business of office workplaces since 1947. Initially, technical offices with drawing tables and blueprint filing cabinets were the main objective. Relatively soon, however, monitor and CAD workplaces, the latter ones especially in the 70s and 80s, became the company’s main focus.

Until today the company’s philosophy is a profound consideration of ergonomics and the aim to develop a flexible working environment individually adaptable to the user. Leuwico is leading in the field of sit-stand workstations. Desks which perfectly support the change between sitting and standing – a product feature which is present throughout the market today – has been offered and promoted by the company since the 70s.
During the 90s the competency in general office furnishing was extended with a number of systems while at the same time the mechanics of height adjustable desks was optimized. The hand height adjustment with weight compensation has become a trademark feature in this line of business and until today is recognized as state of the art.
With its recent product lines TUNE, iONE, iMOVE and iSCUBE Leuwico is taking the step towards offering premium design furniture. Clear design, distinctive images, consistent choice of colours, and convincing details, next to thoroughly integrated technical solutions on all levels are the features of these product lines. Especially the top line iMOVEF, winning numerous design awards, is a successful fusion of ergonomics and design.
Besides modern office furniture, the company also offers interesting niche solutions. These range from dealing desks over modular systems for control stations to a variety of special purpose solutions, e. g. diagnostic desks or mobile view carts.
The products are manufactured in Wiesenfeld by the company itself, with a high quantity of wood and metal parts being fabricated on site. The production plant and methods have been expanded and modernized during the last two years. Production closely connected to orders allows for high flexibility and customized solutions, even for medium or small projects.
