Alyssa Anselmo (Studio Anva)

Although it may seem a bit counterproductive to have one person design buildings by themselves, Alyssa’s reason being is that she is simply way too passionate and obsessed with what she does. She prefers not to spend time explaining how to bring her visions to life when she can just do so. She wholeheartedly believes that she can make a difference in the design world by creating unforgettable spaces that will timelessly age like crisp leather.

Since she was a child, Alyssa was extremely aware and sensitive to her surroundings whether that be with houses,restaurants, clothes, and even the tv shows that she watched. She began noticing that what inspired her could always be traced back to simplicity. She remembers the cartoons that she loved as a child involved anfew things in common - the usage of few colours, materials, scale and a good soundtrack. It wasn’t the innovative CGI characters or the elaborate explosions that glued to her mind.

At the age of 19, Alyssa moved to Florence where she earned a degree in Interior Architecture. This experience would forever change how she felt and percieved the world of desin. After graduating she worked for an Architecture firm in New York, then continued her design journey in Stockholm. As of today, Alyssa lives between Milan and Stockholm, operating her own Interior Architecture studio called Studio Anva - a company that she owns and operates on her own, working on projects from 2D and schematics, to 3D renderings, to all her own architectural photography as well. She intends to dedicate her life to showing people that design truly is one and it affects us all.
It is the way we communicate, the way we express ourselves - it is even how we raise our children. Massimo Vignelli said it right - good design should be visually powerful, intellectually elegant, and above all: timeless.
