Yvonne Colacion is noted for creating thoughtful, distinguished spaces throughout the world. Her passion is to continually explore unique design solutions related to the ever-evolving lifestyles of her clients, and to create environments that enhance both the user and guest experience. Colacion successfully helped to redefine the brand of prominent real estate company, Tamdeen Group, by designing a dynamic, three-dimensional space for its headquarters in Kuwait City. Since then, her firm has been regularly commissioned to lead the design of numerous luxury projects in the Middle East and beyond.

In addition to recently completed international residential and commercial projects, Colacion has worked with notable clients such as Saban Capital Group; Jones Day; Paul Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP; Aurora Capital Group; Walt Disney Studios; LA Live; Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas; Crystal Cruises; CB Richard Ellis; Gold Circle Films; Amgen and the Nixon Library.

Prior to establishing her own firm, she was Vice President of Corporate Interiors at RTKL. As Vice President, she created and marketed a workplace practice group in Los Angeles and explored new workplace solutions for both emerging and established organizations in Asia and the Middle East. She also gained valuable design and managerial experience during her 11-year tenure as a Senior Associate at Gensler.

Colacion has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Architecture. She stays apprised of local market trends by being involved in well-established professional organizations, such as the AIA Los Angeles, Society of British Interior Design and the International Interior Design Association. She also devotes her spare time as a guest instructor at several Southern California universities, educating the next generation of design talent.

Established by Yvonne Colacion, a reputable designer with nearly 25 years of experience in the architecture and design profession, Colacion Studio has quickly become recognized as a premiere firm in the high-end residential and commercial marketplace.

The philosophy of Colacion Studio is to evoke the evolution of an idea – creating beautiful, yet intellectually stimulating spaces, which are strategically focused on the user’s experience. This philosophy, paired with Colacion’s understanding of global design aesthetics, has allowed the firm to work with a select group of clients around the world – especially in the Middle East. While skillfully utilizing international resources for its projects abroad, the firm has provided its clients with innovative workplaces, elegant estates and coveted retreats at sea.

Recently completed projects include the custom retrofit of the M/Y 360°, a luxury 155 ft. super yacht based in the French Riviera; a 55,000 s.f. corporate office space fit-out for the Tamdeen Group headquarters, in Kuwait City, Kuwait; and the interior design of Farah Villa, an enclave of three private residences totaling approximately 80,000 s.f., overlooking the Persian Gulf in Mesilla, Kuwait. The firm is currently working on other high-end projects, including a pair of private townhouses in Beirut.
