Profile
David Kohn Architects is a London-based practice established by David Kohn in 2007, working internationally on arts, education, residential and urban design projects. Excellence in design is pursued through collaborating closely with our clients, consultant teams, contractors and end users. Innovation is cultivated through office-based and academic research into materials, construction techniques and the cultural contexts of each project.
Projects range from interiors to urban strategies for private, public and commercial sector clients. Recent work includes a new quad for New College Oxford, Sotheby’s first purpose-designed contemporary art gallery in London, a new high street for Harrow and an apartment in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter.
David Kohn Architects has built a reputation for the quality of its design, winning World Interior of the Year in 2013 and RIBA, D&AD, Designs of the Year, New London and Conde Nast Traveller Innovation & Design Awards in 2012. In 2010 the practice was named ‘One-off House Architect of the Year’ and in 2009 won the prestigious title ‘Young Architect of the Year’.
