dRN Architects was established in 2005 by Nicolás del Río and Max Núñez. The firm is located in Santiago, Chile.
Nicolás del Río (1975) studied architecture at Universidad Católica de Chile achieving his degree in 2001. During 1998-99 he did pre graduate studies at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy. From 2005 to 2009 he taught second year Design Studio at the Universidad Andrés Bello, Santiago, Chile. In 2010 he earned a Master in Sustainable Design at the University of Oxford Brooks, England.
Max Núñez (1976) studied architecture at Universidad Católica de Chile achieving his degree and a Master in Architecture in 2004. During 1998-99 he did pre graduate studies at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy. From 2005 to 2009 he taught second year Design Studio at the Universidad Andrés Bello, Santiago, Chile. In 2010 he earned a Master in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University, New York, where he received the Lowenfish Memorial Prize, the William Ware Prize for Excellence in Design and the Samuel Kaplan Traveling Fellowship.
