Profile
FORM.3 architects started their journey as an architectural consultancy firm from 2010. Since the beginning, it envisaged a way of building that glorifies the past and erects upon the future, through the understanding of the context and global meaning. Ar. Md. Didarul Islam Bhuiyan, is a promising young architect of today’s Bangladesh and founder of FORM.3 architects. He formed a team, along with two friends and fellow architects, Dilruba Ferdous Shuvra and A.K.M. Muajjam Hossain.
FORM.3 architects offers integrated design for the built environment, encompassing master planning, architectural, landscape, interior and lighting and furniture design. They have been successful in several national and international design competitions and featured in national and international professional publications. Since its commencing, they have been involved in projects around the country. FORM.3 architects has completed a range of construction projects in different fields. Past and current projects include commercial, residential, hospitality, transport, exhibition, institutional, religious, mixed-use, industrial and interior projects.
Despite being young architects, through their heartiest try and effort, FORM.3 Architects are gradually setting a signature mark in today's architecture in Bangladesh. More importantly, this signature does not at all refer to the built-form only but also in the holistic approach towards architectural solution. Here, we speak of architectural solution in terms of green issues, socio-cultural aspects and of course, contemporaries that not only reflect the present but also will hold the future. They create architecture which embodies a deep sense of responsibility towards the clients, the people who use the buildings and the environment, culture and context to which they relate.
Awards
1st Prize Winner: Open Design competition of “Entry GATE and THE TORCH for 11th South Asian Games 2010”, held in Bangladesh at Bangabandhu National Stadium, organized by IAB and Bangladesh Olympic Association.
1st Prize Winner: Open Architectural Design Competition for “Gulshan Club and Five Star Standard Guest house”, in association with Dr. Md. Saleh Uddin, organized by IAB and Gulshan Club Ltd.
Short listed in the Open Design Competition for IEB memorial at Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) organized by IEB. The proposal was withdrawn by FORM.3 architects before the final submission.
Winner (Top 3): To participate in “London Festival of Architecture 2013, from Bangladesh chapter to represent Architecture of the region.
Selected as one of the top 15 finalists in research category at Floornature International Architecture Contest NEXT LANDMARK 2014 for the proposal of Anjuman Mufidul Islam HQ.
