EN SAVOIR PLUS SUR FURIO MINUTI
Born in Macerata in 1952, where he lives and works today, Furio Minuti graduated from the University of Florence in Architecture, with an experimental thesis on Ornamental Plastic. He began his career working on the themes of 'minor' architecture. He has worked with the Italian Superintendence for Environmental and Architectural Heritage of the Marches Region, and is particularly interested in ‘case di terra’ (‘houses of clay’). He became involved in industrial design at a later stage, and particularly in the field of furnishing and household articles, electronic equipment and accessories, bathroom fittings and complements. His work is a constant search for a pure form, obtained with different materials, with the aim of defining products that are always elegant and avant-garde. He has published many pieces, and participated in national and international shows. His works have been mentioned at the Design Museum of Gallarate, at the ADI Tecnohotel of Genoa, at the Gran Design of Pesaro, at the Rome Casaidea, the BIO of Lubiana, at the Design Innovationen of Essen, at the Compasso d’Oro, at the Gran Design and at the ADI DESIGN INDEX of Milan, at the Design Plus (ISH) and at Forme of Frankfurt, at the Italian Design Forniture on Tour, at the Nuovissimi Trend Macef, at the Eurostampi of Parma, at the Paris Observeur, and at the SMAU Industrial Design Prize.
