The design process

For more than forty years, G.T.DESIGN has been pruducing collections that stemmed from fruitful encounters and amazing discoveries, meeting with the experts craftsmen and interpreting artisan traditions using a contemporary design language. The company has re-discovered materials and fibers from ancient times that have intrinsic natural intelligence (such as yarns in coconut, silk, wool, linen, hemp cotton), and also the innovative and high performance modern yarns (the sheen of top quality viscose to the strength and luster of polymers . The charm of the G.T.DESIGN collections results from the research into yarns and textiles. This knowledge is now applied to all of the materials and techniques involved in the production of the collections. The added value is the intense trust matured with the people who manually produce the unique, stunning textile designs of each G.T.DESIGN piece.


An open competence

Designing with interior textile surfaces provides an opportunity to create receptive, open and versatile architecture; the space can be endlessly redefined. Perfecting the textile component is a fundamental step in every interior design project. This phase necessitates research, constant updating and knowledge of textiles. For almost a decade, G.T.DESIGN has worked shoulder-to shoulder with architects and project managers, providing a dedicated taskforce qualified to identify suitable solutions in terms of performance and esthetics, while respecting the budget constraints. Having worked with leading, internationally-active architecture and interior design professionals, the product managers of G.T.DESIGN are fully aware how important it is to interpret the clients’ requirements and supply products that have an extremely high functional and formal profile.
