At GreyFox we observe, listen and answer to the fundamental needs of a complex society with a focus on human movement, user health and wellbeing. GreyFox is a research and design led initiative, whose ambition is to develop, produce and distribute high quality, humanized furniture solutions.

As we move toward higher density living and working in urban environments, we lose touch with our naturalistic roots and biophilic requirements. Our focus at GreyFox is to reconnect you, through the critical heritages of being human. In reimagining how we work, learn and connect, our collections provoke joy & surprise!

On our small island, we have a concentration of some of the worlds finest craftsmanship and creatives. GreyFox takes pride in its range of representation of trades and industries. From woodwork and upholstery to industrial and furniture design, we try our hand at everything in-house.

Where it all began...

GreyFox is a joint venture between Walls to Workstations and Thomas Montgomery Ltd.

Thomas Montgomery Ltd - Established in 1978, is a second generation contract seating manufacturer and leading provider of workspace furniture.

Walls to Workstations - Founded in 1994 as a specialist provider of commercial interior solutions, now operating across all sectors including Offices, Hospitality, HealthCare and Education.

GreyFox is currently working with the Perch Studio to develop a collection of product solutions responding to the demands of todays agile society while responding to the demands for wellbeing in today’s interconnected world. The Perch Studio specialise in research-led design for applied human movement.

Perch was founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 2009 and here we remain – in the dynamic, pulsating city of culture.

Our Values

Ergonomics
GreyFox’s design values are deeply rooted in our extensive research of posture, group dynamics and human movement. These are the pillars of our design decisions in relation to comfort, support & feeling #Grounded.

Sustainability
The principles of longevity, purpose and sustainability guide everything we do. Our furniture is designed to be easily maintained, renewed and serviced. We keep our products out of landfill, we take them back at end of life to repurpose them. We manufacture our products locally & stand over and ensure the sustainability of all stages of our product development.

Craft
On our small island, we have a concentration of some of the worlds finest craftsmanship and creatives. GreyFox takes pride in its range of representation of trades and industries. From woodwork and upholstery to industrial and furniture design, we try our hand at everything in-house.

We stand over and ensure the sustainability of all stages of our product development. We are conscious of our impact in the selection of our materials and suppliers. We want to produce furniture made of sustainably forested woods, natural fabrics and water based finishes. We also keep our products out of landfill by taking them back at end of life to ensure that they are repurposed. We source our materials and manufacture our products locally. All off cuts in the manufacturing process are also put to good use as we repurpose them to create marketing materials.

We are always looking for new solutions and innovations to achieve our zero waste goal and recently were awarded first place in the Green and Sustainability Category at the Local Enterprise Offices 2022 Awards in Dublin.

Other innovative design features within the collection include metal to metal fixings, rather than glues, for easy disassembly. This is useful for servicing products and reusing/recycling components at end-of-life to reduce waste.
