HYPE STUDIO is an architecture studio based in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. Established in 2006, the studio develops projects of diverse scales and types, holding an extensive portfolio of institutional, real estate and sports architectural projects. The firm’s most recognized project is the Beira-Rio Stadium Renovation (LEED SILVER), which enabled the city of Porto Alegre to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup and became a landmark in the city’s skyline.
Following the success of the Stadium renovation, Sport Club Internacional (client and owner of the stadium) commissioned Hype Studio to design two new projects: a major real estate project alongside the stadium that will include the tallest building in Rio Grande do Sul (130 m) and its new Training Ground and Academy facilities in Guaíba, a neighboring city, a state of the art sports facility with 30,000 sqm to be built on a 400,000 sqm site. Both projects are of considerable scale and relevance, as well as good examples of the long lasting relationship the studio maintains with its clients. In this case, the partnership has been going on for over a decade now.
The studio is at the forefront of BIM technology in Brazil, showcasing its implementation process at various events and universities. The practice frequently pursue partnership for specific types of projects or different regions.
