Profile
JQTS is an architecture studio working between Lisbon and Hamburg. Their work consists in a serial research into the open field of architecture combined with a process of learning from the empirical knowledge.
João Quintela, Lisbon, Portugal
Graduated in Architecture from UAL and Politécnico di Milano. Master from the School of Architecture Madrid (ETSAM) where currently develops his PhD. Curator at KAIROS Pavilion with Tim Simon and Fabrícia Valente. Co-editor of the chilean visual arts edition ANIMITA PAPEL with Oscar Concha. Between 2012 and 2017 he was teaching assistant at the School of Architecture Madrid at UD Campo Baeza, and currently he is assistant at the U. Autónoma de Lisboa with the artist Carlos Nogueira.
Tim Simon, Mölln, Germany
Graduated in Architecture by Universität der Künste Berlin and Universidade Autonóma de Lisboa. Worked with different architects such as Max Dudler Architekten in Germany or Pezo von Ellrichshausen in Chile. Curator of KAIROS Pavilion with João Quintela and Fabrícia Valente. Between 2015 and 2017 he was assistant at the Technische Universität München with Uta Graff, and currently he is assistant at the HafenCity Universität Hamburg with Matthias Ballestrem.
