Ivi Diamantopoulou and Jaffer Kolb
Profile
New Affiliates is a New York-based multi-scalar design practice led by Ivi Diamantopoulou and Jaffer Kolb. The studio learns through building, experimenting with loose forms, rough materials, and ornate object stories. They have completed construction on a house in Vermont, an apartment in Brooklyn, and have exhibited their work at the Venice Biennale, the Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York, the Onassis Cultural Center, and numerous small galleries internationally. Currently they are working on an exhibition design at the Jewish Museum in New York and a mid-size artist studio building in Brooklyn, among other projects.
Ivi Diamantopoulou is a licensed architect in Europe and an AIA International Associate. She holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University and a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the University of Patras in Greece. Ivi is an adjunct professor at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Jaffer Kolb holds a Master in Architecture from Princeton University, a Master’s in Urban Planning from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts from Weseleyan University. He is currently a lecturer at Princeton University and was previously the William Muschenheim Fellow at the University of Michigan.
