Pinch is the collaboration between husband and wife team Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon. The business started in 2004 from the couple’s kitchen table and was built on a single ambition to design and make furniture and lighting that indulged the detail, didn’t compromise on materials and showcased exemplary craftsmanship. The result is a growing collection of products, and design awards and nominations.

The work celebrates simplicity of form, the purity of a good shape and the human connection with the materials that surround us. Pinch believe any furniture or product has to work very hard to win its place in this cluttered world. They seek to create poetic pieces, made beautifully; pieces that endure, inspire and aspire to be inherited. The design refinement process is rigorous but the pieces are left with a lightness of touch – a Pinch piece does not seek to dominate or dictate but to contribute to a sense of harmony, dimensionality and resonance. The manner in which the pieces are produced is as important as the designs themselves and Pinch manufacture with a serious commitment to quality, and attention to detail and finish.

The furniture and lighting work in both domestic spaces and contract environments. Pinch also provide a customised service across much of their design portfolio and work closely with architects and specifiers to bring the engagement, warmth and quality of their work to commercial spaces.
