SODA approach each and every project with fresh ideas and new perspectives. We push boundaries and rouse ambition; working with people who inspire, on projects that excite. From a liqueur distillery in London’s East End to a new hotel concept for creatives; a contemporary take on a Soho member’s club to the careful refurbishment of London’s listed landmarks. Working across scales and sectors, we aspire for all our designs to enthuse and provoke.
We collaborate to support visionary and entrepreneurial spirit, with a design approach that brings brands to life. A meticulous eye for detail, a passion for materials and above all a drive to create. We translate big ideas into beautifully crafted spaces, identities and places. SODA’s designs are a natural response, informed by the myriad influences surrounding us; from the precision and delicacy of haute couture or the subtleties of arthouse cinematography, to sample-heavy hip-hop – our style draws from music, art, film, fashion, graphics and more. Biography
Laura Sanjuan BA Hons, DipArch RIBA director
Laura founded SODA on simple core values: a young and vibrant, design-led practice delivering beautiful, innovative spaces on the back of interesting collaborations. She has previously worked on award-winning projects with both large and boutique practices and has developed a particularly keen eye for the detailed design stages and bespoke finishes of buildings. She is equally fanatical about furniture and graphic design and is a keen advocate of collaborative working.
Russell Potter BArch Hons, DipArch RIBA director
Russell has worked on prestigious projects in and around central London, building a reputation for sensitively integrating contemporary architecture within the context of complicated and delicate existing buildings including the Grade II* listed 76 Dean Street and the ongoing redevelopment of Walker’s Court and Ilona Rose House. Russell has been the recipient of numerous accolades and his work has been widely published. His passion lies in distilling a client's brief and vision and translating this into a coherent and articulate built form.
