A passion for quality and masterpieces is the hallmark of the family business Tecta based in Lauenförde. In its own manufactory it not only produces Bauhaus re-editions and new developments such as the cantilever chair, but also seeks to interact with artists and architects in the spirit of modernity to create new, distinctive designs.
Since 1972 Tecta has stood for collaborations with designers like Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer and Jean Prouvé. Axel Bruchhäuser, who now manages the Tecta company together with his nephew Christian Drescher, knew the architects personally and made their visions come true – often still with their cooperation. Today Tecta is an icon of Bauhaus re-editions. This reputation is based on the company’s ability to breathe new life into the classics thanks to a keen sense of origins, value and creative aspirations.
