À propos de vPPR Architects
EN SAVOIR PLUS SUR VPPR ARCHITECTS
Profile
We are vPPR Architects, an award-winning London-based practice established in 2009 by Tatiana von Preussen, Catherine Pease and Jessica Reynolds. Inspired by art practice and historical precedent we work together with clients and collaborators to develop rigorous architectural concepts, which resolve complex and competing relationships between community, geometry, landscape and economy.
We have produced a diverse body of work ranging from housing, cultural, and retail projects in London, New York, China and Russia. Though very different in building type, scale and style, a consistent process is employed in each case that focusses on people: both the client and future users. We aim to strengthen communities, however large or small, through the creation of distinctive and beautiful places, believing that the space between buildings is as important as the buildings themselves. We are driven by the crossover of art and architecture, whether at the scale of a temporary pavilion made of foam or the masterplan of a cultural district in China.
We have a high success rate with planning applications and as developers ourselves, we have an acute insight into the relationship between cost and value. In 2014, we were shortlisted for the RIBA Stephen Lawrence Award, won a RIBA London Regional Award, and were one of three shortlisted for RIBA Best Emerging London Practice of the year. In 2012, we were shortlisted for Autodesk’s prestigious Young Architect of the Year Award. vPPR is an RIBA chartered practice.
