Hotel Gitschberg

Immersed in unspoilt nature and set against the privileged backdrop of the Puster Valley, the Gitschberg Hotel – designed by the studio Ra.Be in Bressanone – lies at the foot of its namesake mountain, offering visitors a fairytale atmosphere, far away from stress and mass tourism. It's in this particular context that a unique tourist facility has developed, resulting from the fusion between old-time values and contemporary spirit, and shaped on the philosophy of environmental sustainability. In fact, despite substantial renovations carried out by the Peintner family, which has owned the hotel for two generations, it still retains its traditional alpine style, created according to the strict ClimaHotel® criteria that include energy optimization and harmonious integration into the surrounding landscape.
The hotel complex consists of a main building and a wellness area – meaningfully named Fenilia – and is characterized by a bar and a spacious panoramic dining room, both furnished with the lounge chair and stool versions of the Croissant seat. These blend in perfectly with the untreated wood furniture and natural caulked materials.
All the hotel spaces, including all the rooms and suites, have been furnished with a great love of detail and are characterized by the use of natural elements such as wood, stone and felt. In the furniture and accessories, these materials merge with one another to evoke naturalness, a sense of tradition and a vocation for the contemporary.
A true example of this trend is Croissant, the new series of fabric-upholstered wooden seats designed by Emilio Nanni for the Friulian company Billiani. Long committed to the use of natural materials, Billiani has been a specialist in woodworking for over one hundred years. The company works internationally on both large and small contract projects.

Croissant is one of the company's latest creations and has enjoyed widespread appeal thanks to the vast catalogue range of models, colours and finishes.
For Hotel Gitschberg, the seat was made from beechwood and upholstered in charcoal coloured felt, in order to blend harmoniously with the large restaurant spaces and – in the stool version – with the bar. Particularly ergonomic and cozily padded, the Croissant solutions offer guests a comfortable break.
