482 APARTMENTS, 2 COMMUNAL LOBBY AREAS
THE CHALLENGE
Get Living needed a trusted partner to furnish 482 homes in the centre of the East Village – the neighbourhood which was formerly the Athletes Village at London 2012. The homes would range from studios to 4-bedroom apartments. So, the solutions would have to cover a range of price points, demographics and tastes. Quality and aesthetics were of course paramount; both having to complement this striking architectural project. Lastly, all spaces would have to be fully furnished in an ambitious 13 weeks.
THE SOLUTION
The Interior Designers in the BoConcept Contract London team developed three distinct design themes: a clean Scandi-inspired aesthetic, 'Nordic Light', a richer toned theme, ‘Botanical Vibe’ and the more premium expression of ‘Understated Luxury’. All 482 apartments and communal lobbies were completed to schedule. Sylvana Young, Get Living’s Chief Design Officer said of the collaboration, "We partnered with BoConcept to curate three interiors collections for residents to choose from. BoConcept’s Danish design combines personality and functionality, offering distinct looks, while maintaining versatility for people to make it their own. Furnishing 482 homes in 13 weeks is no easy task. Throughout the installation process the BoConcept team were incredibly organised and efficient, ensuring this was completed on schedule. After launching the building this spring, the feedback from prospective and new residents has been great. They love having the choice of styles and appreciate the quality of the furniture."
