"Building for life"
Implenia is regarded as Switzerland's leading construction and construction service company. When it came to refurbishing its Industrial Construction group division, "modul space" from Bosse Design and two chair ranges from Züco won over the construction specialists with their obvious performance and good design.
Offenhausen – March 2013. Implenia builds everything imaginable: industrial or traditional, above ground or underground, through mountains, across rivers, new, old, for living, for working, for transport and safety, for leisure and health, as a general contractor or as a specialist. Around 6,400 employees from over 50 nations work at more than 100 sites in Switzerland as well as selected international bases.
A company as diverse as this needs office furnishings which can keep pace, for example the "modul space" system from Bosse Design. Under the Dauphin HumanDesign Group umbrella, it has developed into a real all-rounder in recent years, providing an individual touch through the wide range of surface finishes available. The impressively broad selection of materials includes lacquered surfaces, melamine finishes, natural wood surfaces, glass panels in a variety of colours and types as well as photographic films. Thanks to invisible panel fixings, door hinges with adjustable cushioning and smoothly sliding drawers, the German quality can be felt down to the very last detail.
The group's Industrial Construction division specialises in institutional and private infrastructure projects. In its renovated administrative building, "modul space" has been used to furnish the workstations as well as rest rooms and conference areas. Room-high shelving units with closed and transparent coloured fronts function as room dividers and help to structure the open-plan office. Highly versatile, they provide storage space on both sides. The coloured glass panels tastefully break up the stark white, black and dark grey colour scheme, bringing a feeling of freshness to the functional yet aesthetic modern office. The high-quality chrome frame used for "modul space" underlines the timeless elegance of the furniture system which can be used in public areas as well as in residential settings.
The striking "CuboFlex" office swivel chair from Züco, another Dauphin HumanDesign Group brand, is an ideal match for the furniture. With its exciting mix of fabrics and leather and the wide choice of colours, it can be configured in various different ways. Most notably, the "Hive" fabric used on the chair's backrest provides a visual contrast while ensuring maximum comfort. The dynamism of the curved backrest can thus be felt straight away by the user. Elsewhere, Züco's "Riposo" (standing) stool in bright colours such as red, blue or green ensures variety and relaxation in recreational areas.
